Andre is a writer, creative director, and Head of Media at Roar Global. He has over 16 years of combined experience in the non-profit sector and in digital media. He oversees the production of content across three languages, with a primary focus on documentary storytelling. Andre conducts workshops in storytelling and creativity and produces and performs in socio-politcal theatre.

Anuki Premachandra is the Communications Manager at IREX Sri Lanka. She comes from a background of public policy and advocacy and is committed to improving economic freedom for women in Sri Lanka. She studied International Relations at the University of London and prior to joining IREX, she has been working in the field of PR and communications. Previously at a local think tank, Advocata and at the World Bank in Sri Lanka as a part of their communications team. She has contributed to chapters on publications related to economic freedom and women internationally, and her work has been quoted on Reuters and the Cato Podcast. She was also listed under Cosmopolitan Magazine’s “35 under 35”, 2020.

Benislos Thushan is the Founder and Chief Strategist of Digital Storytelling Initiative, an educational platform working with youth across the communities to equip, inspire and empower them with skills, literacy and tools on Digital Storytelling, Digital Literacy & Digital Security. He has worked extensively with marginalized communities across many sectors such as journalism, public service and the development sector. He has trained over 5000 youth across the world and over 150 journalists in Sri Lanka in the past six years. He is currently reading for his Attorney-At-Law in the final year.

Catherine Mackie is a media consultant who specialises in journalism training. For many years, she was a senior BBC journalist, working in front of and behind the camera, before becoming a digital video creator for the BBC news website and social media platforms. Her work now includes designing and writing journalism training courses for Thomson Foundation, the world’s oldest NGO working in media development. Catherine holds a degree in History and English and was the recipient of a Knight Wallace Journalism Fellowship at the University of Michigan from 2018-19.

David is an experienced trainer in mobile journalism and a journalist with 24 years of experience, working with major news organizations, governments and NGOs, designing web TV, digital video, mobile journalism, multimedia and digital/social media strategies.

Glen Mulcahy is the Co-Founder of Mojofest Ltd, a media training, events and consultancy firm which specializes in mobile journalism and social video storytelling. A former Head of Innovation with RTÉ, Ireland’s national public broadcaster, he has inspired and driven the growth of mobile journalism within RTÉ and across other European broadcasters. Glen lead RTÉ’s mobile journalism project and as a result RTÉ is successfully using mobile devices and apps to create finished news stories for broadcast and online which reach the highest possible quality standards. He also founded Mojocon- the 1st international mobile journalism conference which was held on an annual basis from 2015-2017 and subsequently evolved into an independent event “Mojofest” which ran 2018, 2019 in Galway, Ireland and in 2022 in London as part of the Media Production & Technology Show. He is also the founder of Titanium-Media, a media training and consultancy company.

Jonathan Paterson is the Managing Editor of The News Movement. The News Movement is one of the most exciting new publishers in journalism, content production and storytelling. Jonathan has a distinguished career in journalism. He worked across the BBC on some of the most significant stories for the past two decades. He was head of Digital Video for BBC News, Deputy Editor of BBC Newsgathering and a renowned international producer. He is a creative and versatile editorial leader with a proven track record in innovative storytelling on all digital platforms.

Kalani Kumarasinghe is a Colombo based journalist covering gender, child rights, ethnic relations and socio-political issues in Sri Lanka. Since 2013 Kalani has worked in broadcast and print media and currently serves as the Features Editor of Daily Mirror.

K. C. Saranga is the General Manager of TV Derana (News & Current Affairs) and a media personality with over 18 years of hands-on experience in building the Sri Lankan mass media industry. He is an experienced trainer in mobile journalism, having delivered numerous workshops around the island in the Sinhala language. He is also the founder of Ada Derana MoJo Force in Sri Lanka. He was among the top 6 finalists of the Thomson Foundation MoJo Competition 2019 in London held parallel to the MoJo Fest 2019 in Ireland.

Maksuda Aziz is a multiple-award-winning expert in social media news analytics and mobile journalism. She won an environmental journalism award from Deutsche Welle and the German Federal Foreign Office in 2021 for her ability to produce single-device stories. She is also among the top five MoJo Fest 2020 finalists. She currently works as a freelance journalist for Mongabay and Deutsche Welle. She is well-known in the media training industry; has previously worked for BBC Media Action and is currently employed by DW Akademie as a media development trainer. She has contributed to the mobile journalism department of the most widely circulated newspaper in Bangladesh, Prothom Alo.

Navayuga Kugarajah is a Sri Lankan Writer, Director and Actress with more than fifteen years of experience in film, media, and visualization. With over a decade of experience in the field of gender and children education programs, she has been awarded nationally and internationally multiple times for her content.

Manivanan is a filmmaker, script writer, lecturer and media trainer with around 15 years of experience in broadcasting journalism. He is also an experienced trainer in mobile journalism, having delivered numerous workshops around the island in the Tamil language.

Rinooza Nawshad is a TV Presenter, Journalist, Motivational Speaker and YouTuber with around nine years of experience in the media field. She is the Director of CGC Talk Shop, a YouTube channel that promotes interviews related to politics, current affairs and social issues in Tamil and CGC News.lk, a news website for Tamil readership.

Shanuki de Alwis is an Advocacy & Communications Consultant based in Sri Lanka, where she integrates her 23 years of experience in Advertising and brand communications with her passion for social causes. Currently the Communications & Outreach Advisor at GIZ/SCOPE, Communications and Advocacy Consultant for The Selyn Foundation and a former Strategic Planner-cum-Creative Director at both local and international network advertising agencies, she is currently engaged in building creative strategy, documentation and communication for development programs around South Asia and East Asia. She is also a trainer, freelance creative director, public speaker & well-known theatre practitioner on stages in Colombo.

Tharindu Jayawardana, who has been working as a journalist at Lankadeepa newspaper from 2011 to 2019, is currently the editor at Medialk.com. He is an investigative journalist who is engaged in Mobile Journalism.
